Dear Neil,

I’d like to get your take on this. Whenever I use public restrooms, I always make sure not to touch anything. Not myself, the doors, the faucet—anything. I keep a fresh piece of paper towel over my hand the whole time I’m in there, and don’t go near the sink or wash my hands afterward because I haven’t directly touched anything. My girlfriend thinks this is gross and gives me shit about it. I think public restroom sinks are gross and would rather stay away from them. What do you think—am I disgusting for doing this?
