When it comes to animated TV shows for adults, there are three shows that have dominated the culture: Family Guy, South Park, and The Simpsons.
However, a fourth show deserves its place in that list. It only ran for four seasons, but was equally addictive.
Helmed by comedian Brendon Small (who went on to create Metalocalypse) with H. Jon Benjamin as Coach McGuirk, Homes Movies defied most conventions of cartoon shows. It proved that, unlike the three shows above, a cartoon doesn’t need popular culture references to still be funny. It proved that kids and their parents can have a good, loving relationship, and it is no less interesting to watch. And it proved that a slow pace can draw viewers in just as much as fast cuts.

But the animation sharpened in the later episodes. Below is one of my favorite full episodes. Just be forewarned that if you like this, you’ll soon be watching every episode from each season in order:
