To conclude the Serge Gainsbourg series, here is perhaps the most disturbing video I’ve ever seen.

For those who want some respect for Gainsbourg first, watch the video for Harley Davidson featuring Brigitte Bardot at her best or listen to his song, “Je T’Aime Moi Non Plus.”

But the absolute nadir of family duets would have to be “Lemon Incest,” a love song between him and his twelve-year-old daughter Charlotte Gainsbourg (today an acclaimed actress). The video may make you throw up in your mouth a little.  His daughter later defended the song as deliberate provocation, which this certainly is:

I don’t even think someone could get away with this today.

Nonetheless, the song reached number two on the French pop charts.
